    Walk towards the historic Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in North India known for its neo-gothic architecture and beautiful stained-glass windows.
    Stroll along the lively Mall Road, lined with cafés, restaurants, colonial buildings, and local handicraft shops.
    Continue to Scandal Point, famous for its historic legend, and explore Lakkar Bazaar, known for wooden handicrafts and souvenirs.

  • Day 2: Shimla – Sarahan

    Drive deeper into the Himalayas towards Sarahan, which serves as the gateway to the Kinnaur region.
    The route passes through picturesque hill towns such as Kufri, Fagu, Theog, and Narkanda, where the surrounding hills are covered with thick forests and apple orchards.
    Continue towards Rampur Bushahr, once an important trading center on the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route located along the Sutlej River.
    As the road follows the Sutlej Valley, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic with steep mountains, narrow roads, and deep river gorges.
    On arrival at Sarahan, visit the sacred Bhimakali Temple, one of the most important temples in Himachal Pradesh and known for its unique architecture combining wood and stone in traditional Himalayan style.
    The temple complex offers spectacular views of the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak, rising majestically above the valley.
    Sarahan is a peaceful Himalayan village surrounded by apple orchards and traditional houses.

  • After breakfast begin the scenic drive towards the enchanting Sangla Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh.
    The journey follows the Sutlej River before turning into the lush Baspa Valley surrounded by towering mountains.
    Upon arrival at Sangla, explore the picturesque surroundings of the valley.
    Visit the historic Kamru Fort, located above the village and housing a temple dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. The fort provides stunning panoramic views of the valley and surrounding peaks.
    Also visit the sacred Bering Nag Temple, an important religious site dedicated to Lord Jagas and known for its traditional Kinnauri architecture.

  • Today the journey enters the dramatic landscape of Spiti Valley, often described as a high-altitude cold desert.
    Drive via Reckong Peo and stop at Khab Sangam, the spectacular confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers where two powerful mountain rivers meet amidst towering cliffs.
    Continue towards Nako Village, a beautiful settlement located beside the tranquil Nako Lake, surrounded by prayer flags and traditional houses.
    The road gradually climbs higher into the barren mountains of Spiti, where the landscape becomes stark yet incredibly beautiful with unusual rock formations and vast open valleys.
    On arrival at Tabo, visit the legendary Tabo Monastery, founded in 996 AD and often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas” because of its ancient murals and paintings.
    The monastery complex includes temples, meditation caves, and ancient Buddhist scriptures preserved for centuries.

  • Drive towards Kaza while exploring the historical and spiritual sites of Spiti Valley.
    Enroute visit the spectacular Dhankar Monastery, dramatically located on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers.

    Spend time exploring the small markets and cafés of this remote Himalayan town.

  • Spend the day exploring the fascinating villages and monasteries around Kaza.
    Visit the famous Key Monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti Valley, perched dramatically on a hilltop overlooking the Spiti River.
    The monastery houses ancient Buddhist scriptures, murals, and prayer halls.
    Continue towards Hikkim, home to one of the highest post offices in the world where travellers often send postcards from this unique location.
    Visit Komic Village, considered one of the highest motorable villages on Earth and home to the historic Tangyud Monastery.
    Also explore Langza Village, known for its giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley and for marine fossils dating back millions of years when the region was once part of the ancient Tethys Sea.
    Return to Kaza for overnight stay.

  • Depart from Kaza towards the magical Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake due to its crescent shape.
    The drive passes through the remote village of Losar, the last settlement before Kunzum Pass.
    Cross the spectacular Kunzum Pass at an altitude of around 4,590 meters where travellers traditionally stop at the Kunzum Mata Temple to seek blessings for a safe journey.
    The route offers breathtaking views of glaciers, snow-covered peaks, and vast mountain landscapes.
    From Kunzum Pass continue towards Chandratal through rugged high-altitude terrain.
    After reaching the campsite area, a short walk leads to the stunning Chandratal Lake with its crystal-clear turquoise waters reflecting the surrounding mountains.
    The lake changes colours throughout the day and is considered one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in the Himalayas.

  • Begin the adventurous drive towards Manali via Batal, Chhatru, and Gramphu, following the rugged off-road route along the Chandra River.
    This stretch is one of the most thrilling drives in the Himalayas with dramatic mountain scenery and glacier-fed streams crossing the road.
    Further ahead pass through the famous Atal Tunnel, one of the longest highway tunnels in the world, which connects Lahaul Valley with Manali and drastically reduces travel time.
    Upon arrival in Manali check into the hotel and explore Mall Road, the vibrant center of the town filled with cafés, restaurants, and handicraft shops.

  • Checkout from the Hotel in the morning and get a transfer to Kalka / Chandigarh As per your onward journey.
